This conference and Symposium titled ' What Japanese civil society can do? "Toward 2008 G8 Summit in Japan' aims to promote advocacy on MDGs for 2008 G8 Summit in Japan. Also, the event is to learn from the expertise in order to revise the Position Paper as we start the second term of the Forum. In the morning session, the guest speakers from the countries of Asia and Africa will give some presentations on their activities and experiences in relation to the issues on MDGs (Millennium Development Goals).
In the afternoon session, guest speakers together with the audiences will be divided into three groups to discuss the issues in depth. The groups namely 'Poverty and Development', 'Environment', 'Human Rights and Peace' will have a time to exchange their views on Position Paper prepared by the each unit of "2008 Japan G8 Summit NGO Forum".
