10th APF and Civil Society Session
*Date: 7th April, 2008*Venue: Mita Conference Hall, Tokyo
Form 7th - 8th April, 10th APF will be held in Tokyo, hosted by the Government of Japan. 10th APF Agenda is expected as following,
1. Environmental Issues and Climate Change
2. Boosting Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction
2008 G8 Summit NGO Forum, TICAD4 NGO Network, and CSOs from Africa are invited to Civil Society Session in APF, at the first day of the conference.
The CSO participants will have short statements in the session and also discussion with other APF participants, such as Africa Personal Representatives from OECD, NEPAD, and International Institutions.
In order to prepare CSO statements, 2008 Japan G8 Summit NGO Forum and TNNet are going to organize the Civil Society Workshop on 4th April, at the MoFA. 4 African CSOs are expected to join the workshop, and we'll discuss on APF agenda together in order to input effective civil society perspectives to APF.
