Tanabata is the Japanese tradition of making a wish on a star on "Tanabata Day" on July 7th (in some parts of Japan such as Hokkaido it is on August 7th). Let's send our message to the G8 leaders by writing our hopes on a "virtual Tanzaku" (Tanzaku is a slip of paper on which we write our hopes and hang it on a bamboo tree) to make them take the necessary actions to change the world for better.
